Painter, illustrator and engraver, he attended to the Georgetown University from 1899 to 1900, the Drexel Institute of Philadelphia from 1900 to 1904, and lastly the Art Students League from 1904 to 1905.
Edwin was even a breeder of hunting dogs and president of the Scottish Terrier Club of America.

He wrote and illustrated different works related to dogs; he painted scenes of horses, cattle and rooster fights and designed the logo for Greyhound Bus Co.
Many of his works appeared in “Field & Stream” between the ’40s and the ’50s.
