Nuremberg (1514 – 1562)
Engraver, typographer and painter, he dedicated himself to the burin, etching and to the xylography.
We can find his engravings on some of the most important works of humanity: the Bible, Ovid’s Metamorphoses, Aesop’s Fables.
He created the Armorial for the Holy Roman Empire.
His “Greyhound” (1549 – Pen and brown ink over graphite), is kept at the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York.
